COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE FILM TABLETS OF THE DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS TRIBESTAN® AND TRIBOSTIM™

The filmtablets Tribestan are created with technology of 1983. The same form called Tribostim has been created in 1998. This time difference is of greatest importance, because when creating the new form all new developments in the pharmaceutical industry for this type of tablets have been taken into consideration. In result, the new Tribostim tablets have the following serious advantages:

1. While both forms contain one and the same amount of active substance /250mg dry Tribulus terrestris extract- containing 45% furostanol saponins/, the tablet form Tribostim contains less additives which makes it some 30% lighter. This lower weight has advantage in the oral acceptance of the tablet by people, as well as for much easier transportation of big quantities.
2. The filmtablets Tribostim are with a smaller volume, which again makes the tablet easier to swallow.
3. The technology of Tribostim includes as an additive Inositol, which has additional tonic action. This is of importance for the biostimulating action of the Tribostim. Apart from the above-mentioned Inositol, some other tonic additives are used (e.g. zinc, copper, iron, some 10% proteins, flavonoids) to enhance the biological efficiency of the tablets.
4. The additives used in Tribostim are high-quality, modern ones, used in current tablet forms. The additives are harmless, do not cause irritations and guarantee the durability of the tablets.

Regardless of the smaller volume of the filmtablets Tribostim they comply to all modern pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical requirements for this forms: dissolution, durability, as well as aesthetic ones for dietary supplements.

In conclusion the tablets meet their standard - 250 mg of substance in a tablet of round 490mg, as opposed to the Tribestan® where 250 mg of substance are put into 620mg of fillers.
